Today COWL@EC explored curiosity through the lens of rootedness – our last ‘R’ of the month.
We started our time together by using the COWL theological reflection tree to stimulate a review how the 4 Rs of intentional living have been operative in our lives over the past month, with each R being associated with different parts of the tree: rituals – canopy, relationships – branches, rhythms – trunk, rootedness – roots.
As part of the unfolding discussion we explored the concept of tight and aerated spiritual soil, and curiosity as a nucleating force for religious/spiritual community.
To mark our final week exploring curiosity, we also playfully considered what color, texture, shape… curiosity is. It was a remarkably embodied way to engage the otherwise quite abstract concept of curiosity.
How does curiosity help you discover or reimagine your rootedness?
What color, texture and shape do you think curiosity is?
